College!

Well....I'm in college!

It's been awesome so far. I can't believe how many cool people I've met and awesome experiences I've already had!

Acedemics...hard...I failed my first quiz-not like a little either-like reaally failed...but I'm doing my best and that's all I can do ( little side note, Grove City's informal motto is" Where you Best hasn't been good enough since 1897 kinda sad huh?)

Activities...fun!! I joined an IM football team, the swing dance and salsa club, and I tried out for a traveling singing group on campus! ( I find out the results tomorrow so pray for me!)

Friends...awesome--There are so many cool girls on my hall and in my classes-and the guys...super...just cool brothers in Christ kind of guys

So ya I'm trying to balance my time and everything right now and it's going pretty well-I'm having a great time and I miss all y'all from home! Let me know what y'all have been up to!

Much Love

Leslie

I want to be Amish...or live in Africa...one of the two

I want to be stripped of everything I hold so dear to me in this life...the material things that is. I want to go outside and see nothing but God's creation surrounding me, no tall buildings, no concrete, just beauty. To hear nothing at night but the stillness of nature.

I've been reading books about the Amish and loving it --their simplistic way of life, doing things the old fashioned way, and taking time to be with one another and just talk.

Ok I know I could never really be Amish, but I still want to go to Africa.  To me, it's not just some crazy, passing thought, it's a passionate desire.  I want to offer medical help to those in need and serve God in a remote area of the world.  And, it looks as if this almost life long dream of mine, could one day be a reality. Grove City has a thing called Red Box missions where you get sent out to a country of your choice to help a missionary for a summer....How awesome would that be?

Whew I have not been getting enough sleep--it's been a crazy crazy few weeks--but so much fun

But losing sleep does have it's advantages, since I have a job where getting up at the crack of dawn is customary, I have seen the beauty of sunrises and the beauty of the stillness of the morning.  I also saw  a spider spin his whole web the other day--I was seriously entranced--I sat there and watched him do the whole thing--wondering the whole time how people can possibly believe there is no God...

On that subject I have had opportunities galore drop into my lap at work--they've asked me my opinion on the Da Vince Code numerous times and I've gotten to talk about the religion vs. relationship difference about Christianity -It has been phenominal!

And I am officially a college registree! Oh man this is getting pretty real-but I met some super cool people and I am getting really excited

Creation next week--watch out!!

Wahoo!...So I am officially an alumni of CSY

Graduation was great...I wasn't even too terribly nervous for my speech (and I could feel my cap falling off the whole time, but I just tried to ignore it until it was on the side of my  head! )  it was great to have mi familia come up to see me graduate!

Annnd...I've started working--it's definitely been an experience working with all guys--some of them have little potty mouths but I'm getting over it--and I haven't had many nasty old men to deal with yet--but it's been so fun!

Our potential new pastor spoke on Sunday and he seems really great! We met his son too and he's hilarious and seems pretty fun so yea!

Have a wonderful week--and to those of you still in school--you're almost done!!!

Oh goodness-only 5 more school days left!!!

Whew, this is getting pretty real--I've already finished my last sport season for CSY-pretty weird because since 6th grade, I've done a sport every season and it's strange to think all that is over--track was so much fun though-more fun that I anticipated

Also Mitzipoo is home ! Yea! We're catching up with some good bonding time--like swing dancing last night --kinda rusty, but we had a blast! and the famous Mr. Suave,  Mr. Sweaty, and Creepy Chad weren't there to make things icky--but I have to say I did have  some pretty awesome dance partners...

Today I slept in to...dum da da dum...9:30--I know, not very impressive, but my body physically won't let me sleep past a certain time--I woke up to like 50 cars outside my house for our neighborhood yard sale!! Wahoo-I got myself a TV for next year--ooh and some sweet golf shoes that will most definitely come in handy for my summer job!

And lastly, wow! God is a God of extreme miracles of the heart--there is nothing that calms my heart more than just writing to God and getting out all my questions, and frustrations, and anticipations as well as all my joy!

Remember He came that we might have life and have it abundantly!
